Problems with fan belt

hi guys

Today my fan belt came off my 99 marea 2.4jtd and had not snapped ive only had it changed a few months ago 3rd time since my cambelt was changed its been caught before and shredded the edges now this .I got the AA out and it took hime a while to cut the belt off and tommorow a tow down to my garage.

Replace the crank pulley. It'll be that causing the belt to snap and thread. But before you replace it make sure all pulleys are running straight as well. If the auto tensioner hasn't ever been changed, then get a new one of those too.

Crank Pulley will be approx £80-£100, auto tensioner approx £45. Oh and a new belt.

Like said, check/ replace the parts under 3, 6, 8 depending if you have aircon or not.

cheers guys for your advice i got the marea towed down to the garage by the AA and waiting for a call from the garage.
