Technical Problem with the keyFob

My keyfob opend the doors and locked them but i noticed the light never came on and it wouldn't open the doors.So all i did was change the battery in the keyfob and now it will not lock or open the doors.?
Please can any 1 advise me. :bang:

Similar happened to me and I was told it was a chip in the fob which had given up the ghost ..do you drop the fob a lot I used to cos I'm a clumsy git ..they are a lot more fragile than people realise..

How much did u pay to get it sorted? I've been quoted just under £190 for a new key.

I didnt get it sorted just used the spare one I had ..:slayer:car is long gone now so its not my problem..

it could be dirty contacts under the open button.

If the key is frigged and only a new one will solve the problem, open it up and see if its just a dirty contact
