Hello people I have a problem with the engine coolant on my seicento sporting I don't know a thing about cars but I know sometimes up because it needs toped up every 2 3 days could someone let me know what the problem/s could be and how much I'm looking at shelling out t fix it plz

sounds like you have a leak somewhere, have a look round all the pips and at the radiator to try and find the source
Open up your oil filler cap, do you have a frothy mayo looking substance in there?
Are there any obvious puddles under the car? If unsure, place some paper or card under there overnight and check for signs of leakage.

No puddles and nothing in the oil cap just looks normal like nothing there. I've checked the pipes for leaks and there's nothing there seems to be a bit of steam coming out the exaust when the engine heats up if that helps
Only way water would get into the exhaust system is through headgasket failure, but a good indication of this is the mayo but if the steam is only on startup then it's more likely to just be condensation in the exhaust system. Check your plugs too though, are any of them cleaner than the others? That would be another indication fo HG failure.
Either way, the water if going somewhere and it's either going into the engine via the HG or it's escaping the system elsewhere, which would point to a leak.

Well I checked it yesterday about 4 o'clock I drove about 40 miles max and I would say when i checked again today ive lost nearly a litre i would say But there's defo no leaks I can spot would it use more coolant if the fan didn't work I can't see it coming on that's all thanks for the help btw
A litre?! It's a sealed system so (assuming you've got a proper mix of coolant) even if it does vapourise, it can't escape unless there's a leak somewhere - whether that's a visible leak or through the headgasket into the engine it's definitely leaking.
As I said, check the plugs and let us know if any are cleaner than the rest and get a compression test done asap. Do you also lose water if the car is just standing or only when the engine is running?

Errr, there are 4 plugs in total so when you say "1 spark plug is fine the other is laced in oil" are you basically saying that 1 plug is extremely clean and the other 3 are not?

i had a similar problem with a tigra, turned out it was the water pump leaking whilst driving and spraying water onto a hot engine , hence no evidence. maybe the same fault???
The engine will fit, but there's no point swapping it if it's not the cause of your problems. A new waterpump, which is a service item anyway at about 72k/7yrs I think will be a lot cheaper and as ashtonladenglish says could well be the cause of your problems.
Have you tried just letting the car run up to temp and idle for 10-15 minutes with the fan kicking on/off to see if you can identify where the leak is? I assume the fan does kick in after a short while?
