Mums Hyundai Coupe failed MOT on one of the rear brakes having little or no braking.
So I've changed the proportioning valve as there was no fluid coming out for that brake, changed the shoes anyway and also changed the brake cylinder as that was seized up.
I've bled all the brakes and topped up with brake fluid, checked it for leaks and jacked the back of the car up started spinning the wheel while someone pressed the foot brake and I can just about turn the wheel with alot of force though.
My question is, should you be able to turn rear wheels with drum brakes by hand? like I said though you have to put alot of effort into it to turn the wheel just not sure if brake drums are like this.
Don't wanna take it for a retest for it to fail again
