Problem with passenger doors

I bought a 2006 Fiat Punto Active yesterday and Im having problems with the passenger doors. The doors do open but only when you really force them and only apply pressure towards the backs of the handles.

The car has a 6 month warranty with the place i bought it and they said thats how the car is and there is a knack how to open them.

Surely this cant be right!

I shouldnt have to have a knack to open the doors. Is this a manufacturing problem, does anybody know? or has anybody got any advice on what i should do about it or how to get it fixed?
