Technical Problem with near side light

The little catch which is used to secure the light has broken on my front n/s light. The little bit of plastic which is bolted to the car has snapped away. When iv been driving behind people with my headlights on, they've told me one light looks brighter than the other. I've also heard it's an MOT failure.
Will this mean i need to replace the whole light?

Just ask the dealer partsman if the catch assembly is available as a spare. Even in the trade they get asked things like this all the time.
