injector warning light on and engine jerky. Main dealer tested car and says fault is the throttle potentiator possibly. Will cost £374.00 to replace but cannot gaurantee that this will cure problem. Will then move on to the next possibilty and no doubt another £350.00 bill. Any idea's.

If theyve tested it surely they should know exactly waht it is? then you can hold them accountable?

EGR valve??

could be a faulty injector?? Hence the injector light.


Have u tried putting some injector cleaner in the fuel???

EGR - not if its a 105....if a 100 then it can be
Second the throttle potentiator can be sorced at ascrap yard .... IMHO I would go and get a second opinion

i think my EGR valve is blocked.. cos if i connect it.. it runs really lumpy... but thats ok.. cos 1 good boot, it blows the pipe off and it goes like stink!!

they should really test the throttle pot before blaming it - there are three of them together for safety reasons. testing can be done with an analogue multimeter (not digital !) and watching for smooth resistance change..
