Problem with Kenwood Head unit

My Punto came with an aftermaket Kenwood KDC-237 CD headunit and it worked fine untill a couple of weeks ago. The display has stopped working, although it plays fine and the buttons all light up with no problem. Its just the display part thats stopped working. I would really like to fix the problem rather than buy a new one but dont really know where to start, can anyone out there help me?

Check all of the connections at the back of the Headunit as a wire might of come loose, there should be a "reset" button at the front of the headunit which you press in using a paper clip.

If that fails contact ur nearest Kenwood dealer and get it look at. If the repair cost is more than what the unit is worth consider buying a new one.

A replacement of similar age can be had for between £20 and £40. Unless you are a Dab hand with ribbon electronics i very much doubt its a cost effective fix.
