Hi, new to this forum. Just purchased van, and although tank has plenty fuel in it to register on the gauge, the fuel gauge remains showing empty and flashing it's orange light. Does anyone have any suggestions to remedy the problem.

Also on the fuse charts I have looked at - PDF x250 Ducato owners manual (I have Citroen Relay 08) some of the fuse numbers have (+ key) and (+ battery) after them. Can anyone tell me what this means please.

Thanks

Mice may have feasted on the wiring on top of the fuel tank, it is a popular place for these critters.
There is a hatch in the cabin floor that gives access to the tank element, start looking there. Because the low fuel light flashes, the problem must be located somewhere between the tank sender and the ECU.

(+ battery) is positive battery direct, (+ key) is positive battery voltage when the key is in the MAR position i.e ignition on.

Thanks Adria, will check the wiring out tomorrow. If that is ok, could the problem possibly be the tank sender itself?

Thanks Viv
