Problem with clutch

1.4 SX done 49k miles, when I change gear sometimes no matter how gently I change gear it sometimes makes it seem like I'm doing jerky gear changes when I know I'm not, also sometimes after bringing up the clutch fully it's as if the clutch is still down, I then have to dip it again and bring it up for it to go into gear. Is my clutch buggered?

Worth checking the slave cyl first.

Wat kinda price are we talkin for slave cylinder or clutch?

A slave cyl is ~£40, clutch is going to be over £200.

Should I get a garage to look at the slave cylinder

Might be an idea, although you can give it a quick check. Take a peek under the battery at the top of the gearbox, see it there is any fluid on top of the gearbox.
