Can anyone plse advise...

My diesel coolant light (The one in bottom right of dash that you should wait to go off before turning the engine fully on) keeps flashing once Ive turned the motor on. Its been doing it since yesterday morning, and i can't find the manual anywhere just now.

Anyone know if its gonna be a serious fault? Any ideas??

Cheers

That light on my diesel is the seat belt light. The coolant light I think is incorporated in the temp. gauge.

Glow Plugs

Hello mate,

It could be your glow plug light that is flashing for sixty seconds after start up.
If it looks like a coil and is coloured amber then it will be like mine (TD 100). It means that your glow plugs are starting to fail or one or more have failed which will hinder start up. They need changing every 30,000 miles or so and cost about £100 to get all four changed.
I've recently had mine changed but it has not solved the problem for me so if anyone else can help me as to why my glow plug light is still coming on when i've had them changed it would be a great help.

Re: Glow Plugs

The problem can be anywhere in the glow-plug circuit, like the relay, not just the glow-plugs.
