Technical Problem with 1.2 8v Punto 2000

So recent I got changed all spark plugs, and my little Punto started to eat much more fuel since change, filled my gas tank with 20l gas, and drived around 140 km. Gas light come up, to fill up again, I calculated that my car started eating lot more gas, 7-8l of gas, and before spark plug change it could drive 200km with 20l of gas in tank. Where is the problem since I dont really push my car to redline, but every week paying 20 euros for gas its little expensive to me as a student. Do anyone know what could be the problem?

I dowt a spark plug change is gonna cause excess fuel consumption....

It thoery itd make it better...

The problem with putting just a small amount of fuel/gas in like u are, u never really know where u end up mpg/kml

Idearly u need to take a full tank to empty to find out really what ur true mpg/kml is

Well I had filled my gas tank full few times, drived somewhere around 480km. I was not sad about that, as 45l tank and 1.2 8v can take me this much(Before spark plug change). But car started to eat gas since sparkplugs been changed, after change I filled up fully, and drived ~450km. So 30km less, not much but still kinda big problem. What did changed in a good way, is that Punto feeled better at acceleration from 0-50km. But its because the sparkplugs that been left by last owner had been completely my dad asked how I even drived with those .
I will be going to garage next week, have tochange bearing in front. So will ask them about why it started eating so much gas after they changed spark plugs.

I would expect that car to get at least 15km per litre of fuel.
If you had been getting 480km for a full tank that sounds bad.
Have you got a temperature gauge.
If the thermostat has failed that could account for excess fuel consumption.

8v if driven nicely can easily do 18km+ per litre

Nope its only speed and fuel gauge, but will ask about thermostat at garage, it could be a problem.
