OK, have printed the guide, will get the gear on my way home and will finally attempt to wire up my Polys properly and get the sidelights working for the MOT. I will no doubt be on here later asking for help so.....

Any watchouts for doing this on a MK2 HGT before I start. Gonna be a pain in the a55 I know it as I do not have the correct connectors.

Oz mate, there's nothing to it if you follow the guide. Even I managed to do it and I'm a mechanical retard so if you're intelligent enough to know what a wire is (touch and go !) then you'll manage it.

For the MK2 use svens wiring colours otherwise the guide is self explanatory. Most people think you need to set up the motors or something, thats only if you dont have them in(i.e New). If your polys already have the motors then ignore the fitting of the motor part of the guide.

The guide is great Sven. Spot on.

Unfortunately........

the drivers side is in and working fine. RESULT!

Get to the passenger side (the one I got second hand) and the sidelight bulb and holder is missing. :(

So, anyone got one going spare? Desperate need as the MOT is Friday morning. If anyone can lend me one who's near to Biggleswade (Bedfordshire) just for the MOT so I can go scrappy hunting at the weekend I'd really appreciate it.

Was planning to give you a shout for this weekend mate but until I get the MOT sorted I'm a bit stuck.

Does anyone have the part number for the bulb holder by any chance? Maybe I can get it from FIAT tomorrow.

Oz the sidelight connector cannot be ordered its part of the wiring loom, however there was a website you could buy it from along with other useful stuff. Not exactly cheap as chips mind. Think Tom may still have the link.

Or just use spade connectors.
