What sort of amp would I be looking at to power these:

http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/hertz-spl-show-sv200.html

20cm (8") midrange/midbass for extreme applications
Peak power: 400W
Power handling: 200W
Impedance: 4 ohms

Pretty sure mine wouldnt power it

http://dls.se/en/car/prod.html?produkt=en_102

CA31 is a three channel amplifier with a nominal output of 2 x 65 Watts + 1 x 170 Watts (1 x 280 Watts in 2 ohm).

Would I be looking at something along the lines of this:

Thanks,

If you do need any of those speakers let me know. ;)
You will need at least 200w RMS maybe as much a 400  They are not SQ units though. They are designed to go loud. Also where do you plan to fit these. That would be a lot of work.

**** that's even more than the amp I posted!!

scratch that then, I'm all for sound quality.

I quote "the singer should be standing on the dashboard" and that's what I want, not screaming at me from 10 miles away.

And I didn't realise how big they were lol.

That aside, I do plan on upgrading possibly around christmas, or maybe next few months who knows.

So, any suggestions stu? I think im happy with the sub, would just like some SQ components.

So you should be happy with the Sub lol. It's very very nice.
Get your speakers amped first. Then look into a HU with time alignment. That will be the next step and a fair but to learn. You will certainly be more happy with the sound you get for a while. Then think about upgrading components.

right okay mate!

I'm presuming it is only more specialist HUs that come with time alignment?

The reason I ask is that that HU cost over £300 at the time, obviously money isn't everything and most of that would have been the 3" screen and bluetooth connectivity.

And you're right about learning, everytime i search for speakers etc I just get more confused ;) and then there's the tuning side..

EDIT: just googled for one with time alignment but not much luck, could you link to one or name one? my birthday in august so could be an option....

EDIT2: my HU has 'auto time alignment'? is this what you mean

EDIT3: any idea where I should start 'learning' ? :)

Sorry Stu im always full of questions
