General Powerflow Exhaust

General Powerflow Exhaust

Oh and the tailpipe design I would want is to have part of the rear bumper cut out and a twin pipe coming out of the back.

I don't like it when the exhaust sits underneath the bumper, looks kind of out of place and my original plan was to have it hidden behind the bumper, but I think I'm gonna go for the cut out idea :)

urm, im pretty sure people have removed the second cat .. will have to wait for someone to come allong and let us know..

I was under the understanding that you can remove the second cat without any problems. there is no sensors on the second cat only on the first with a pre and post lambda. (y)

You can remove the second cat Dan but a word of warning about Power flow :)

DONT GO THERE THEIR CRAP (n)

Given my time over again I wouldnt touch them with a barge pole :) let me know where you are and I will give you a good one to go to ;)

Powerflow is all individual dealers. As such they cannot be labeled crap lol

Oh yes they can and have been by many people besides me (n)

Dan I will send you now a pm of a good exhaust maker its the company that made a certain shoowee's [wink]

yes i agree, the likes of powerflow, exhaust uk.. i wouldnt even bother! If i could change time i would have rather kept my standard or should have gone for a supersprint. I not sure what company nick is using for his showee. But another known sport exhuast specialist is quicksilver, they do make a system for the stilo. Well just a back box but there bits a dyno tested! I found this link when goggling for them not sure if its the right one ill have to check when i get home. Here ya go: http://www.quicksilverexhausts.com/

I'd say go for the gsr system i see there's two stages at £500/600 its about the same price as the supersprint cat back was! and you can upgrade to the full wake later on if you desire... I just think the £300 notes which is the same as i spent is better off in the bank. Dont do things by halfs ;)

now you see i have a good powerflow exhaust fitted. the guys at chipped and peter (oldschool) were impressed. that was at hawleys tyres in sheffield in the hillsborough area. i really recommend them.

also the backbox isnt hanging down on it, just the tailpipe ;)

Thats what I have on my car o_O Big City Tyres wanted £300 for it so had it done :3 and my 1.8 sounds lovely :D

Thats the one I have on my car :)

All well and good going to these places but the end result is for looks and very little power improvement if any at all to me the reason behind having it done is to increase the power and improve the flow from the engine and you wont get that from the drive in and drive out places that litter this country where as if you go to some one that knows how to route and design an exhaust correctly you will see a benefit not only in performance but MPG as well [if you drive like Decks that is ] :D

If it helps my brother has a Powerflow half cat-back system on his Nissan which he is very happy with.

I suspect that they are a little like Kwik-Fit and the like. The bad ones make a lot of bad press for the good ones.

PNL,

I'm thinking about replacing my exhaust from the flexi-bit back (obviously with either a flexi joint or something similar), and I'm after an exhaust that fits the following criteria:

- Is fully compliant with UK noise requirements and will pass an MOT
- Optimises fluid flow through the system (unlike the Fiat OEM which optimises fluid losses....)
- Not too loud, i don't want any noise increase, if anything a noise reduction
- Nothing too expensive

I thought I found everything in the supersprint exhaust midsection and backbox, but can't find them anywhere now they've ceased supplying the stilo products.

Is there a company you can recommend in the Bucks/Oxon region which might be able to meet my criteria. Are the branches of Powerflow exhaust in the South East (Aylesbury and Slough) definitely somewhere to steer clear of?!

The reason i'm looking into exhausts now is that there's a leak in the flexi-bit (the section beneath the external braiding) and I'm not 100% convinced that an e-bay jobbie will be compatible, and i'm sure Fiat will charge me for an entire midsection - hence whilst i'm here i thought i might as well replace...

We're looking at an '02 1.8 3 Door,

Cheers,
Rob

i would glady use someone like you have described to sort me out with an exhaust system, especially seeing as mine is blowing now, but WHO??? Who can i go to for best performance increase????? also it must be loud :D
