Power to the boot, earthing question.

If i were to put an amp in the boot, or a power invertor etc. I should be fine only running a +ve feed from the battery and simply grounding the -ve of the device to a suitable point in the boot - yeah?

Yeah 'tis fine. My amp's earthed to the centre mount of the rear bumper- directly onto the metal- scrape the paint away to get at it!!

i just did one of these this afternoon, as arse says just make sure you take the paint off!

i originally used the bolt on the boot lock, although this looks ugly as u can clearly see the wire, the advantage is that u don't have to remove the paint though!

is there a way to get a wire out of the boot - would be easier to run it under the car to the engine than thru the cabin im guessin
