Power steering

Hi

Fiat punto grande 2006 had power steering warning light come on about a month ago. I lost the power steering. Turned it off and back on again and it returned to normal.. Hasn't happened since. I'm waiting for it to happen again. Any reason why it would occur once so long ago and not again since. Just before this happened I had new battery and ecu checked and was fine. So there definetly not the cause... Any ideas anyone.?

I had/have this exact problem on my gp and its so confusing, i loose power steering and it becomes very scary, simply turn it of and its fine again.
