Technical Power steering fluid pumping out

Hi everyone
Just joined the site it's great.
But I have got a problem with my Marea 1998 ELX 2.0 20v had the M.O.T done last week needed a new front wishbone then a couple of days ago it started making a funny whirring noise I looked under the bonnet and the power steering fluid was all over the top of the container it is in. Took it to the garage yesterday and the mechanic flushed the fluid out topped it back up seemed fine after that but got in it today and it's even worse and the steering has gone heavy. Taking it back first thing tommorrow but would like as much advise as poss first.

I love my Marea PLEASE HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!

there is a check valve inside the pump that goes faulty(this is on a merc P/S pump), when this valves stuff up and you switch the engine off the fluid starts pushing out at the cap- only way you can fix is to get a new or reconditioned pump, i personally don't like reconed pumps.
