Technical Poorly Stilo 1.9 JTD Dynamic

Hi all, I seem to be having the same problems as mentioned in earlier posts

Yesterday I got in to drive the car, i turned the key then got a clicking sound, and all lights were flashing on the dashboard but the car would not start. So I ended up getting a jump start.

So since the jump start and running the car for ~30mins to charge, it now starts up first time fine, but now I have a loss of power steering and the power steering failure message and icon are displayed. I have tried disconnecting the battery and leaving it off over night which did not help. I have started the car successfully ~5 times but this has not cleared the message either

I think the battery is on its way out. Would getting a new battery fitted help with this error or would i still need to get the message cleared using the aforementioned FiatECUScan?

30 minutes is not nearly enough to recharge the battery.

Even now the car starts straight away and all electrics are working ok (except for the power steering), do you think a full overnight charge of the battery could help with my problem?

The electric powersteering takes a lot of power.
A good overnight charge could rectify the problem. It might be a bad (corroded) connection or a dead battery though.
