General Polish trip to Romania

Hi everybody!

Last weekend we finished our third club's trip to Romania (and Serbia, this time). In two weeks we made about 3000 km's thru Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and Serbia. In Belgrade we met with serbian pandistas (Aca, many thanks!). There were five Pandas and two Marbellas (and Opel Astra). We've seen merry cemetary in Sapanta, painted monastiries in Bucovina, beautiful old cities Sighisoara and Sibiu, Belgrade, Budapest, beautiful mountains and lakes. Sutjeska has bigger tires, my panda (with 135/80 tires) made 4k kms.
I took her for that trip less then a week after I picked her up after over a year long body work. Almost all good body mechanics are in UK, geuass who's left :bang:

Panda did really well. The only two things I had problem with were: 1. the distributor (fortunatelly one of the marbella drivers had a spare); and 2. the battery- in those high temperatures radiator fan ate all the energy.

However, thanks to Panda brother/sisterhood :worship: all went marvelous!

If the bettery run out, perhaps look at getting a new one if it is quite old.

If new, you may have a problem with the alternator not charging the battery enough

3k kms was out of Poland, thru Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and Serbia. From Warsaw it was almost 4k kms. And from Gdańsk (on Baltic coast) it was almost 5k kms. Two cars were from Gdańsk. And one of them stayed in Belgrade for longer, going later to Croatia and Italy alone.

I've been to the Arctic, Germany & Poland twice, New York to Chicago and now the Sahara all by Fiat (and mostly by panda)

Yesterday I met Mark (Gwoździu) and we are thinking about meet with serbian friends in the beginning of June. They probably won't need visas to go abroad then (now they have to). Our plan is to organize this meet somewhere halfway between Belgrade and Warsaw, for example near Domica/Baradla caves on slovakian - hungarian border: http://www.ssj.sk/jaskyne/spristupnene/domica/?lang=en

Well, Sutjeska, next year is 30th Aniversary for Panda Classic (1980-2010). It should be celebrated on some meeting - somewhere in EU???

Sounds like opportunity for Panda Classic Worldwide- Summit??????
