Technical please help

Hi can anyone please help a lady in distress? I have a marea 1.9 diesel 97 and it shudders in 1st to 3rd gear but once it gets going it seems ok, but today a red light has started coming on and off .... it reminds me of a tourch? so know idea what it is as I haven't a manuel.......is there a page I can look at what show all the dash symbols? :worship: :worship:

that light is the fuel injection system fault light. it means the ecu (aka car's computer) has noticed a fault. hopefully the fault code will now be stored in the ecu. a diagnostic of the ecu should tell you what the fault is. your fiat dealer can do this for you.

thanks Jug, for your help, I put some redex? or the spanish equivalent in and it is kicking out a lot of black smoke now, the light has gone off but still keeps missing, I have booked it in for a service and cam belt change, so hope fully should either end it or mend it lol

service and belt change wont help, its overfueling. i suspect a sensor fault/failure
