***Please help - 2001 JTD - Loss of power after 3k revs***

Dear All,

I have a 2001 Bravo JTD 105, with 52k miles on the clock. When I drive it in all gears, it has a loss of power after about 3000 rpm.

I have spoken to Fiat and they will charge £60 plus VAT for a diagnostics test.
Can anyone be sure what the problem is so I can save doing that and just buy the necessary part?

If its after 3000 rpm then its the MAF sensor.
About 100 to 140£ and you can fit it your self

Forgot to mention, do a search on the forum for cleaning MAF, it can be cleaned but it doesent work always.

The circled thing is the MAF, you just have to unplug the connector on it and take the jubile clips off.
Put the new MAF in - watch for the arrow that points the direction of the MAF and tighten it whit new clips.
Thats all.

So its def the MAF and not the throttle position sensor or anything like that?

Must say it sounds like the MAF, but cant be sure.

Every 3 days my ignition light comes on for about 20 miles and i cant get my JTD SX to rev over 3000 rpm.

AC Williams in grantham had it in and said MAF error. £105 not inc fitting and £30 for the diagnostic.

Will see if warranty will cover it. If not will try cleaning it.

Not in a rush but need it fixed as i really really want my car remapped but have had a small list of problems since i bought it

PAS pump
over boost valve
MAF sensor
