Technical please help ! 1994 2.5 td gearbox identification

hi
yes i am a newbie and apologise for this.
but i have a duff gearbox in my 1994 2.5 td ducato motorhome.
its the older square shape.
1st i need to identify what gearbox it is
2nd did fiat fit this gearbox in any other vehicle.
please please help me
any info would be greatly recived

Hi im in process of re building my g box slightly older but may be the same! mine is a 2he99 . the number is finelly stamped on a flat surface on top behind the breather . very hard to spot ,but i found mine with some gentle rubbing with wire wool and a stanley blade to scrape off the crud . i used my phone to take lots of pics of it as you wont get your eyes close enough to read it .dont over rub as i say its very fine stamped so you could esasily rub it off .mine is a 2.5td by the way 1992 k reg hope this helps .

Its after modification 0250 - new gears uprated bearings 11-1991
and before modification 0823 - modified speedo drive and cable 07-1993

If you want a direct substitution it has to come from those 18 months you could problably use the post 0823 one as long as you get it complete with the cable.

Your gear ratios are for 1tonne, 1.4 tonne chassis, 1.8 has different ratios.

The only useful cross use of parts I can see is the 1st/2nd gear syncro and 2nd gear is used in newer model ducato, scudo and ulysses until 15-6-1996.
