the wires on the keypad on my fiat ullysse have broken away from the keypad at the back of it hence car wont start due to immobliser bein stuck on i paid sum 1 to rewire the pad for me yesturday i.e put them back were they broke the guy done this n the car started he then couldnt get the immobliser to kick bk off after soldering the wires can any 1 please tell me how to remove the immob or any way around this problem can i just get a new uncoded ecu chip ?

Get the car running and disconnect the pad while the engine is still running, this will bypass the immobiliser.

cheers but i already knew that hence why i asked if there was any other way but thanks any way

how ai ment to get the car running then thatts my question ?

I had a similar problem with mine. However, the broken wire was not where it attaches to the keypad, but about an inch further up the loom. I had to unwind the loom cover to find it. I had two broken wires, one orange and one red. This was fortunate as there is only one red wire and the others are all orange. How many of your wires were broken and what colour were they? If there is more than one broken orange wire, have they been reconnected in the right order.

It may also be worth looking at some Citroen and Peugeot forums as this is a common problem and the keypad was fitted to many of their cars.

You don't mention whether you have petrol or diesel. If it is petrol, you have to get the keypad working before you can disconnect it. If it is diesel, I believe you can bypass the immobiliser with a feed to the fuel pump.

Another thing to be aware of is that while my immobiliser was malfunctioning, the relay to the ecu was constantly cutting in and failed soon afterwards. It may be an idea to disconnect the battery to prevent this, or carry a spare relay.

Good luck.

hi theres 3 broken wires out the back of the pad they are all orange cased but 1 has red tap on it n 1 with black tape on it its very strange every now n again the car will fire n then stop n itsa p reg 2 litre petrol mate

and as for order i have no idea what order thery are ment to be in there mate to b honest if you do then please heeeellllp me its driving me nuts

Sound like you have exactly the same model as me.

What are the lights doing on your keypad? When you turn the ignition on you should get a red light. When you enter the code it should beep once as you press each button and then when you enter the correct code it should beep a couple of times, the red light will go out and the green light come on. If it does this, the chances are you have successfully fixed the immobiliser and you have a fault elsewhere. If you have a red and green light simultaniously, or no lights at all you still have a fault.

If the immobiliser appears ok, check the connectors between the fuse box and the ecu. These do corrode, particularly at the bottom at the fuse box end and benefit from periodic cleaning. Also check the relays are working correctly. As I said before, the immobiliser problem can put a strain on the relays.

Sorry I can't be more helpful, but it is likely to be a matter of trial and error.

if it's a case of sometimes the engine will fire without it staying alive then i would say that either 1 or 2 of the wires are not connected properly or they are in the wrong order, unfortunately as the above post said it's a case of trial and error :(
it sounds to me like the guy that re-connected the wires hasn't done so properly (n)

ok can any 1 possible tell me what order these 3 wires should be in the back of the pad so i can have a go at putting them in myself ???? n how much is it likely to cost to put right if it cant be done????

in answer to your question the red light is on n when i put the code in the light goes green but still nothing
