Technical Pink light ???

Can anyone please help me with this problem.

My Marea has been fitted with HID head lights by the previous owner, tonight I noticed that about 30 seconds after switching them on the O/S light turns a pinky colour and is not as bright as the N/S which stays the normal ice blue. Dose anyone have any idea what the problem could be??

it could be on its way out,ive read about this happening somewhere else.

the bulb or the control unit?

swap the bulbs round to confirm if its the bulb or the ballast. Usually HID bulbs flicker when they are dead not go pink. So i would suspect the ballast but a simple swap of bulbs will save you money. I suggest you buy a new HID kit from a reputable company.

Well after swapping bulbs over the same bulb stayed pink. The wiring was so badly done I just ripped the lot out and have gone back to standard halogen for now
