Hi All,

Ive managed to get a few photos of my van on here. There are more but they must be on my phone.
Ive owned my 2005 swb Fiat Ducato for nearly 2 years. Its Petrol/LPG 2.0 ltr since having it I discovered a major problem with the cylinder head which the guy I bought it off had bodged it. So I managed to aquire a secondhand head and had it rebulit. That was Nov 2012. Been great ever since. But it started of life as a silver panel van(window cleaner). I wanted my van to show what I can do. I fitted a single seat in the passenger front and moved the double to the rear. new brakes and shocks all round, painted it Kawasaki green and fitted 18" M3 alloys. Removed the rear doors and panelled it off. It looks and goes great. Next job is to sort the inside, having it as a day van. Oh and Ive got some side skirts from a Citroen Saxo VTR to modify and fit.

Ive always had vans, cars are just a means of getting from A to B but a van does so much more. In the first photo you can see my D reg Talbot Express motorhome which ive owned for 10 years. Both are my pride and joy.
I hope you like what ive done.

Cheers
Simon

I agree with you, cars just get you from A to B,vans you can sleep in them bypassing all the expensive hotels etc, move house,eat,drink..I love mine, good think too is there is always things to improve them, which brings me to ask I'm looking for door mouldings for my side sliding doors and rear if available, any ideas......your motors re cool by the way.

Hi,
Thanks all. Sorry, cant help you with the moulding for your side loading door. My next project will be the Mk3 shape. Ive got plans already. I need to find the photo of my van from the rear then you can see the panelled of back doors. Ive nearly done my side skirts, will post a photo when fitted and painted.

Hi All,

Ive managed to find a photo of my van from the rear. As you can see ive removed the doors and have panelled it off. My side skirts are nearly ready to fit, I will post a photo of them when they are painted.

Thanks
Simon

Hi,

Ive not really done anything with the inside as yet. Fitted the double seat in the rear, fitted a flip down dvd player, made a shelf across the back. Thats it really. Should be doing some work on the inside this year. I need to fit 2 side windows as well.

Simon

why remove the back doors? especially if you've not done anything to the insides of any great value, the back spoils the over all look IMO

What fog lights do you have fitted are they original fiat or something you've put together, as they look quite cool on that bumper?

Hi,
I removed the rear doors as Ive fitted a large shelf across the rear inside plus thats where my speakers are going. Also I didnt need rear doors, plus they were battered so I removed them. Ive done a few camper conversions in the past and have removed the rear doors then. Makes more room inside. The fog lights in the bumper were some peugeot 206 lights I had left over when I repaired a Cat C estate for the wife. They didnt fit right away but I wanted them to sit flush on the bumper. Next week Im fitting my two new windows, side skirts and roof rails which are for my kayaks. I will post some photos next week.
