ye i no man but i av my boys that will sort that price out for me lol and make it go down :p and im not gona be drifting again after this whole operation lol

and still aint come.. OUCH! i hated waitin for things lol im too impatient.. i came up with a new idea as well lol

basically i took out my 6x9s out of the shelf cos they were messing up with my bass so the sound was **** cos u need to cover the back... which i only found out after taking them out lol.

no im gona put a big piece of wood in the back to level it out so the wheel doesnt push my bass around.. then i will bolt my sub to the wood and im going to put that silver sheeting stuff ontop!

then im gona make another piece of wood for the sides where the rear wheel is and im gona put two more speakers in each side then im going to cover it with the nice blue material i have and bolt it in then i will have a nice neat boot (y) but i will do this after my interior is finished and my service and all the rest of it.. hopefully i wil start the boot project in 2 weeks (y)

wat?

cant u do it? :p

does take a good drive to be able to do it properly hehe :p

If by drifting you mean sliding about with the hand brake on then I guess most people have tried it once...but drifting is usually meant as getting a reasonably powerful rear drive car and then using weight transfer, brute force possibly the handbrake and clutch kicking to get it to go sideways around corners.

You can't drift a Punto

lift off oversteer yes

handbrake turns yes

mcdonalds trays under the rear wheels yes

but drifting can only be done by RWD cars

The only person who can drift a Punto is Novitec granny, because she fitted a RWD conversion on her Sporting :)

if u slide the car on its side its called drifting so i dont no wat ur on about and yes a rwd does it better and easier yes but it is very possible to do it in a fwd but u need to know how to drift properly... i do now how to do it as i was taught properly and i did it in a proper rear wheel drive car and they told me it is possible to do in a fwd however it is very difficult to get to grips with... he taught me and i learnt how to do it in a fwd too!

the only way to prove this is video evidence:D make a vid(y)

OMG GAY i use to have one lool and it was suuch a good one but i dropped my phone in the drains loool i no i no but my mate should have it so i will get it hopefully!

it's called lift off oversteer you nugget

drifting is when you slide a RWD car by spinning the rear wheels up, you are unable to spin the rear wheels on a FWD car as they are not connected to the drivetrain

you can go too fast into a corner, lift off the accelerator and turn in to get the car to slide but this is lift off oversteer, not drifting

lol same...

listen it dont matter wat its called the main point was that i should stop doing it lol

ohhhhhh the same phone that had the pics of the turbo on.. it all makes sense now :)

and yes, dont do it as its just expensive!

haa haa :(

and ye i no that believe u me... its costin me new tyres... new clutch... new handbrake cable and i think thats it but its a lot of money and work :(

but tbh it was worth it so i no how to do it if i need to...

its actually saved me a few time when i was about to crash and i did a hand brake turn and 'drifted' in a lil spot to avoid the car and that was once when it was my fault and the guy was screaming but i got out of it and the second time was the other drivers fault and he actually got out of the car and was like f*cking hell that was good driving thank you so much and he was saying sorry and thank you at the same time lol but i was ok.. not screaming or anythin just in control the whole time so to me it was a lesson learnt. :)

I actually lol'd at the bit about the bloke thanking you, like someone would actually say that. Y

So this 'drifting' is actually just doing handbrake turns, you must have gone to the advanced driving school that's run in tescos car park in the evenings...

lol i duno but tbh i think he sh@t himself lol

and also i went to drift academy (y)

i dont think i would call that drifting tbh, like H2Dae said, theres no drive to the rear wheels so you cant just drop down and floor it to kick the back end out. its a controvertial topic but to me THATS real drifting - break the back end traction with the handbrake or sharp turn then straight on the throttle in a low gear to keep the back end out.

To me that vid is just a handbrake turn, albeit many hb turns in succession to stop the back end regaining traction but still handbrake turning.

jay you do realise that you need to check the shim tolerances when you fit the cam, dont you?

you can call it what you like, but DRIFTING is ALWAYS when the rear wheels are spun by power surge.
in FWD cars its always either handbraking, or lift-off oversteer, where the rear end is sliding passively....

i think Doovydoo hit the nail on the head about the mobile phone thing....:)

and something doesnt add up... if you know how to "drift properly" why would you be chavving up a 1.2 and in general having the ignorance of a pikey? you have been here on FF for a good while now, if you were actually interested in doing a turbo conversion, you would at least have spotted DtT's supercharged punto thread... it would have made you realise exactly HOW hard it is to get reliable power from a small engine...
points for trying with the interior (y) then points deducted for not actually wanting to learn, loads of people have told you stuff yet you seem to think that your mate's daft ideas are better(n)
