Then you want to get ya specs out lol.

I work with brickdog and jetweed on these very forums and we all own a 1.9 mj right down to the colour lol.

Im the only one so far to fit the extreme bulbs and I can tell you there is a massive difference in and out of the car. Agree'd with across the board after various tests both static and driving.

To me if seems to give a more natural white light while driving and lights up signs further in the distance which normally would be out of view.

Fitted the X-Treme lamps and BLue vision sidelights to my Sporting this evening - took about 20 mins I guess. Pretty fiddly fitting them and a little bit hairy as I thought I'd bust the clip that holds them in place but all sorted now.

Thoroughly recommend them, look so much better than the standard lamps! Should be standard fit on all Grandes personally, the yellow lamps look quite dated, haven't liked them since I bought the car.

Just taken the car out with them in. Massive difference at night, white light makes everything much clearer although they seem to 'sit' higher than the originals and have had to adjust the levelling to +1 so as not to dazzle oncoming drivers. Overall worth the £24 I paid for them on eBay so thanks for the link earlier whoever that was..

I fitted the x-treme bulbs and am very happy with them. My only problem is the drivers side doesn't seem to clip in properly and wobbles. Has anyone else had this problem? I think my clip might be slightly brocken as the passenger side is fitted really tightly with no movement.

I fitted mine today and it appears the right hand side bulb is now pointing slightly higher than the left but I can't remember if they were like this before. Can someone confirm if the flat line of beam is at the same height on both sides when the lights are dipped?

Apart from this they don't seem massively brighter but they do seem whiter and give excellent visibility - although the standard bulbs aren't shoddy.

Dog drive up close to a wall to get the position of the beams. Looking at them with a naked eye gives off an illusion sometimes.

Also you can fit them upside down, they will work however they will fail the MOT lol

Just taken the motor out for a spin with a VERY reluctant gf. The difference was HUGE. Took it for a spin on some country lanes near us. The dipped headlights were pure white and excellent and the main beams omg, they were superb.

Even the gf commented how good they looked. Praise indeed:D

yeh thats what i got. im sure the sidelights are not at all blue when they're on, and im still not sure about the headlights.

Mike, the sidelights are not supposed to be blue when on, they are white light, if they were blue you would be nicked for impersonating a police car!!

The reason they are coloured blue is to change the colour temperature of the light that is emitted and make them look pure white, like xenon bulbs. The reason you would do this is to match the light colour generated by your +80%'s, so there is not a yellow tinge.

As for the headlights, round town there is a noticable difference but it's not huge. Take it out on a unlit country road and you will see to maximum effect the difference these units produce.:worship:

Took some snaps on my phone when I was out earlier. Nothing special but they do show how white the light is quite well.

In order they are:
1 dipped
2 main beam
3 main beam and fogs
4 dipped and main beam (like when you flash your lights at someone)

An excellent upgrade! Have made quite a difference - but the lights are already pretty good

Just purchased a headlight/sidelight set and still have 6-8 weeks to go before my GP even arrives :D

On a related note, does anyone know if LED based indicator/brakelight bulbs interfere with the bulb faliure warning system that I've been hearing the GP has?

I've been looking at a set of these:

Seems to be a lot listed too - http://search.ebay.co.uk/PY21W-LED

Thanks!

has anyone thought about getting a HID Kit, don't know if these are avaible for the GP yet, but a mate of mine has just fitted them to his golf and they make a huge difference.
