Hi guys upon removal of the rear seats there is a big black plastic cap my question is does it screw off or pull off as I am trying to get to the petrol float also what is the cap called incase I need to replace it cheers

Cheers panda I didn't want to break it I'm trying to see if the float is working or if its letting petrol in as fuel gauge is incorrect

So is the plastic thing just a cover for the actual tank seal for the pump and float
Black bit is just a dust cover that pulls off
To stop the road dirt entering the car
Under that is the fuel pump and tank
The fuel pump held on with a locking ring
Theres a good chance it will be very tight
The fuel pump also contains the filter, pressure regulator and sender unit, all in one unit

Cheers koaler never seen anything like that setup before is the float detachable or is it all one unit I'm not sure whether to proceed anymore I don't want to try getting it out only to find its stuck tight like you suggested thanks my friend

Fairly sure I have dismantled one to clean a filter but that might not have been a panda, can't be 100% sure now
