Hi all.i have a 2011 ducato 100 multijet 2.2 motorhome.the problem is the petrol gauge will work when the ignition is on.but as soon as the engine is started it drops to zero displaying the yellow flashing empty light.also i lose the stats on the display.ie av mpg/current mpg.etc. Any ideas guys/gals.thanks

Can't help with a diagnosis but my thought is that when you turn ignition on you are applying battery voltage to the instruments i.e. around 12.5v.

When you start the engine the alternator boosts voltage to about 14.4v.

In pre-ECU days a voltage regulator was fitted in the supply to the dash instruments to prevent erratic readings due to fluctuating voltage; it would be worth looking at the wiring diagram to see if there is an equivalent component which might have failed.

Is mileage flashing? Might need a proxy alignment.
