hello i have a have a 1.4 16v brava (96)& i cannot got the petrol cap off & im nearly out of juice HELP

How have you tried to get it off? Just so that someone who might be able to help you has a better idea of what you've already tried

when i put the key in to unlock it it just seem to completil lock & will not unsrew.

1. Open Petrol Flap.
2. Insert Key into Lock Barrel on Cap.
3. Hold the cap and turn the key round to unlock.
4. Turn the cap anti clockwise (Note:The key cannot be removed until you relock the cap)
5. Remove petrol cap.
6. Fill car with fuel of your choice.
7. Repeat steps 6-1 to refit cap.

Have you tried just holding the key in and actually holding the petrol cap in your hand and turning it that way?

yes it just clicks once then locks complely

How very strange! The key should not click if the petrol cap is held in place when the key is turned
