Petrol Cap

Hiya,

I did the classic thing the other day...Drove off and left my petrol cap at the garage. Went back later..for it to have gone !!!!

Anyway...got an emergency one at the moment. Contacted Fiat Finland..they want 58.50€ (£39.25) for the cap and a further 190€ (£127.49) for the locks..as you dont get one with the cap and cant buy a seperate lock..you have to bu ythe whole cars !!!! Rip off or what.

Does anyone know how much this would cost in the Uk ??? Thanks for any help

my lock don't work

my lock don't work on my petrol cap.

it clicks in place so it holds the pressure.

there are few instances of people stealing your petrol these days.

if you live in a dodgy area then maybe you want it locked to stop vengance attacks.

my point is, can you have the cap without a lock or when the cap comes will it have a big hole for the lock to go in?

I live in Finland..nothing dodgy here...which is great !!!!

Not too sure about the cap..I think it will come with a whole in it, as the dealer asked if I had the org. lock....would have had the cap if I had the org. lock !!!!!!

Anyway..had a look at a Motor Discount store here (not many, unlike UK) and found one for 11.90€...slight bit cheaper than "rip-off" Fiat here !!!...and trust me..they really do rip you off here !!! Cheaper to buy from Fiat UK and get it sent over (inc post)..still cheaper than Finland..only the wait is a bit longer !!!
