Technical Petrol 500L mpv showing dpf & em warning light

Hey guys…newbie here & hoping someone can explain this….
Had my 2014 1.4 car for a few months & have the above lights come on I am confused !
I will obviously book it in to a garage but is this a common problem ?

The DPF is a 'soot trap' in the exhaust..

by design its supposed to 'bake itself clean'..a regeneration..

The garage should help by reading the error codes left by those warning lights..

That will point towards where any issues may be.

Is your car actually a petrol engine?

If so it won't have a dpf
