Pen drive thingy?

Where i now work the comps have no disk drives so until the network is set up properly i need a pen drie or similar (usb memory thingy) to get my work done.

Anyone know where i can get one cheap?
Is there any brands to go for/ avoid?

Its work, and in a brand spanking new building with brand spanking new systems, surely they would not want there shiny new puters ruined by a nasty cheap usb device!!!
