pc problem

i cant get my head round it. my focking car pc.

ok i think its over heating for 1. its running at cpu temp 42degree c. but getting that sorted with 120mm fans (pauls r knows these jobbies)

my graphics card keep sliding out. and crashing my pc.... i cant think of away to hold it in. i think im gonna go crazy with some cable ties later....

but this is wat got me... last night driving home it crashed. and it wouldnt restart unless i switched teh car off. i did this rebooted noticed it was hot then shut down properly. this morning i start it up it get in to windows and then i click restart cos i want to change a bios setting gettin in to the bios look at temp and leave on this screen as i approach a round about (yes playing on a pc when driving i know im bad) the computer then crashed. is this my graphics card doing this. and if so is it time to get a new 1 or wat

Your processor is running cool Smee. Theres no probs with that. The limits are normally set around the 60C - 75C

Also isn't there a clip on the edge of the PCI slot or AGP slot to hold the graphics card in mate? Also on a PC you can screw them in aswell. Not sure how you've built yours.

If you remove the graphics card while the PC is on of course it'll crash things.

the clip has a little give in it so it needs sorting.

i pushed it all back in and now its still doing it. maybe my hard drives had it... ohwell time to move it around

If your graphics card falls out, it probably rolls around and grinds on all the other parts in side the pc, may even short circuiting things. As the PC is on it will generate charge etc and a spark can easily fly across and knacker something if somethings bouncing about in there. Test all the components before you spend alot of money on other things.

doesnt fall out like that other end is screwed in but the other end with the clip is loose.
