Technical Passenger front door lock

My front passenger side door lock has started making a loud noise when unlocking, any ideas? I will post a clip of it if I can.

Sounds like the actuator servo is stuck so basically shorting out until it can move.
Could be various reasons like rust or hardened grease.

I suggest removing it and check if the problem is the actuator it self or if the problem is the door latch mechanism.

Some wd40 in the door latch might free it up (probably not) but it's the easiest thing to do.
I always lube the latches when i feel the doors harder to close or open. it does wanders.( I use Vaseline)

There is a electric motor inside door lock assembly.
It open and close the latch mechanism

Replaced the door lock mechanism inside the door which solved the problem. It did occur to me though that removing the old lock and remounting it may have worked also.
