Hi All,

Its been a while but I'm back to the wonderous world of Fiat.

I have picked up a 2010 Fiorino 1.3D and have had some curious wiring gremlins that I suspect are related to the umbilical from the body to the passenger door.

The gremlins:
Loss of speaker playback passenger door only - intermittent and fixable with a good old door slam.
Loss of winder command for passenger window from drivers side only - intermittent as above.
Loss of display to cluster LCD - intermittent as above

The testing:
Each time this has happened I have had a passenger that has shut the door gently, if I ask them to give the door a welly when closing all the above fixes itself.

The question:
Before I start ripping the door apart is there a connector on the body side of the vehicle that is relatively accessible so I can test when this rears its ugly head again? Also the cluster error speaks to me of either a can loss or other nastiness which I’m unconvinced is related but if there is an earth point around the area of aforementioned connector and we have a short maybe?

Thanks for any assistance.

Every time you open, or close the door, the door loom that connects the car wiring to the door wiring, flexes.

The copper wires inside the taped up insulation, work hardens, fatiques, goes brittle and eventually breaks, leaving you with a "make and break" and/or "break and make" connection.

Get exact wiring diagram from car to door.

A repair or replacement section may be available...
