General tow bar wiring

hi all
i need to wire my towbar, is it possible to still splice into existing wiring, my van is all racked out so i cannot easily fit a dedicated wiring kit without stripping all racking out to access the connecting locations.

I have fitted many towbars in the past for customers in the old days when splicing in wires was easy.
However with BCM computers checking systems etc. it is even more important to use the correct fitting kit loom to avoid error messages etc.
Often the proprietary kit is a simple plug in to the loom although more expensive than the old days.
I understand your problem re the racking etc. It must be the same for Motor Home conversions also.

No you can't directly connect to vehicle wiring
But
All you need is a simple bypass relay from the likes of ring , maypole etc
And a fused live
The bypass relay connects between vehicle wiring and tow wiring.

Wago connectors are very good for the connections
