:) :) :) The old uly passed the mot (not cheap:cry: )

couple of weeks ago I started to get a knock and vibration through the pedals when cornering knowing that the car was going into the workshop for a mot I left it to then.

It was found that the piller housing the bearing and hub on the front suspension was worn at one of the fittings:confused:

Anyway to pass the mot the mech had to just tighten the shim which he placed some time ago. That was when disaster struck! the loop/eye on the piller snapped whilst doing this. So needed a new piller:cry:

No meat on the table now for a couple of weeks:rolleyes: (need to lose weight anyhow:D )

nothing cheep nowadays i needed a orange bulb, wiper blade ,and a cat and not the furry type:cry: cant grumble it does carry the family on holiday and every where we need to go all year long not much when you think of it that way .oh hows the control valve and how did you know it would fit the ulysse :worship:

Snap! I also need a orange blub as mine was not orange enough:rolleyes:

As for the control valve it was listed under pug 806 and the seller listed the engine numbers it covered which was the same as ours - XU10J2C (2.0 8v)so I thought I would try and see.

Near disaster on Sunday. The kids and I were waiting in the carpark while the wife was in Tescos. we were listening to the pre-match talk(old firm game) the youngest was on my lap playing with the controls. Did not realise he had turned on the lights. By the time the wife came out the battery did not have enough power to start the car(n) As I was due to watch the game in a bar which was going to start in five minutes I was near in tears. Phone rac, and told be there in 1/2 hour. 2 minutes after the call the rac turned up(y) Quick jump start and away I went but the boy did say I will need a new battery as the one in the car looks like the original (9 years old) so bang goes another £44. :(

And to top it all my team got beaten:mad:

When I needed a valve they were no longer advertising on ebay so having declined the offer of one from Fiat £86 + vat i think I bought one via the web from HGL motors of hull £75.00 all in.They checked the engine no etc to make sure. They sell hundreds of the damn things for all makes. Bit of a design fault i think.I also replaced the vaccum tubes from the throttle body to mystery sensor high under the scuttle and to an actvator on the injector pipework.
Cant find scuttle sensor on the epr catalogue so god knows what that is.All seems to work now though.
PS I got my orange bulbs free from tester always fade and become too weak he said.

I'm sure the part you are on about is the pressure sensor/sending unit the part number is F0046531222 and cost £55.23 + vat. It was replaced on mine when at the dealers to try to fix the idle problem. They said that is what the test equipement found to be faulty, and two days later still the same:( Since changing the original valve it has not missed a beat(y)
