Hi,

When we bought our van, the original rear bumper with the sensors in it, had been replaced by one without at some point. I bought a bumper from a breakers yard with the sensors and cable and fitted it the other day.

The warning light it still on, so I was wondering could one of the sensors be faulty, or does the error need clearing from the ECU?

Thanks...

My 2012 van has a T-Bar fitted, which makes the factory fit sensors think I'm reversing into a wall, so the fitter unplugged the factory sensors & installed sensors into the t-bar,
Yellow warning triangle always on, (covered by black tape[emoji106]?)

The errors to show up on Multiecuscan, so it's possible that you will need to clear the codes

Ahh, the good ole technical approach... that sounds like a plan

I am trying to find a suitable Bluetooth OBD scanner to work with MES, but that is another story...

I found the problem (ish). When trying to find out why my dashboard controls lights weren't working, I found fuse 49 had blown. I swapped it out, on the lights came, and off went the parking sensor warning. All worked fine for a while, until this morning, the fuse blew again. Off went the lights, and on went the warning. I am now trying to find out why the fuse keeps blowing. The stereo is running off a feed from out 2nd battery, I don't have a rain sensor and the the electric windows seem fine...

More tests later. I found it blows when starting the van, but only intermittently. Does anyone know where I can find a wiring diagram? The workshop manual/cd isnt detailed enough..

I have got to the bottom of it. One of the wiring looms coming out of the fuse box in the cab had been worn through by one of the metal dash mounts. Some soldering and electrical tape later, everything is stable.
