my parking light has decided to start flickering specially when breaking or goin round corners, i think all it can be is a sticky switch...but is the sensor located by the hand brake handle ? meaning all i gotta do is take apart the caseing and clean ? or is it somewhere else ?

Sure it's not your break pad warning?
Sound slike that to me.
Before changing the pads make sure you don't have a big lip on the edge of the disk inside and out) as this will cut through the wire well before the wear limt.
I grind off the lip as a matter of course every 10K miles or so.
Ther is am indication of wear limit on the disk edge shown as a small flat. When the disk reaches that it's time for new ones.

When first got my Mk1 three years ago parking light would flicker It was a BLINKING Nuisance. Took it back to dealer ->A.C. for a check came back with no flickering light. Changed brake pads early on this year and notice the wire had been cut on the pad. Replaced pads connected wires and then had a flickering parking light!. Disconnected now to get rid of flicking light. Must be a short somewhere?

See my post earlier.
Are you sure you don't have a lip on the edge of your disks?
This will cause exactly what you are getting.
Very unlikely to be a short in the pad as you had it before and now have it on a new set.
I would strongly suspect you have a lip on the disc due to wear and even on the new pad it has cut through the wire.

rite im not very mechanical (cor even spell it)

but ill try ave a look 2morrow as its a bit dark now

so all i gotta do is put full lock on and try and feel round the back of the wheel for the brake discs and feel if theres a lip on them ?

Fitted new disc's at the same time as pads.

On mine you can see the disc throught he alloy wheel holes. But if you can't on yours then full lock should show you.
Run you finger across the dsic from center to outside. the lip will be right on the edge. Or it could just be rust build up either way.
