Orite guys,

Just purched some new speakers there Infinity 9603i 6x9's to replace the ones i got stolen from my car by smashing the rear window and grabbing the parcel shelf tw**s lol.

So i still want to mount them in the parcel shelf but want to hide them this time. Was thinking of cutting the holes out for the speaker in the parcel shelf then stick a piece of MDF underneath with holes cut out same size. Then mount the speakers on the mdf. Then was gonna re-trim the parcel shelf with a similar material covering the holes, hopefully this should allow the sound to be clear and the speakers not visiable.

Here the question, what you think? and what would i use to stick fabric and mdf to the parcel shelf?

Cant afford stealth shelf btw.

Well how much would you be willing to pay for it including P&P (or collection) and i will find out how much it costs to post and let you know what i think.

what you are suggesting will work fine. I used bass box carpet from an ebay shop called waxacar, about £5 a roll. I think i stretched it over the shelf putting evostick around the edges and pegging it. Don't put the pegs directly over the glue though else it'll squash teh glue through the fabric and you will be left with marks where the pegs were when you get them off

infact thinking about it i would wrap the carpet under the shelf putting the glue on the side you cannot see then pegging it.
