It rarely snows much in our area so I took the opportunity to get some winter photos today, and have a little skid around at the same time, empty roads, I hasten to add! :D

I tried a dynamic shot, but I think it only says what it is, CLX reversed up a slope :(.

Charmania got her new wheels and tyres fitted just in time!

A bit of handbrake for this one.....

Long live the mighty 4x4.

Went out last night into the wilds of Derbyshire in a blizzard in my 4x4 and ended up towing a twit in an Astra VXR out of a ditch and for 1 mile until he could move again.
He was using his sat nav to get from Sheffield to Derby, no coat, mobile etc.
Then complained I took him on a route that cost him 10 extra miles.
Should have left him, I reckon.

I'd have pushed the ungrateful little scroat back in

Now don't forget the golden rule of towing - the owner is responsible for securing the tow rope/strap etc to their car - ie if they tie it to the thier bumper and it get's ripped off you can cheerfully reply 'tough tittie' - it's perfect for Astras

No pictures I'm afraid but the Panda has been out playing in the snow today. The local roads have been pretty poor so I was faced with a choice of which car to take to work - Scooby or Panda?

The Scooby is 4WD but to be honest, no great shakes in the snow - low profile sports tyres and a peaky turbocharged engine can make it a bit of a handful. So, I decided to leave it under its white blanket and get the Panda out of the garage.

Good choice, for sure. Light weight, modest tyres and not much power = getting around with no drama. Took it steady and it has got me everywhere I need to go today. Quite a laugh watching my boss struggling to get his X5 moving in the car park - I just got in the Panda and drove away :)

Pandas rock.. :slayer:

Cheers,

Plug

my 4x4 loves the snow!

Cool .. what a nice pair ! really like your blue Panda, would like some roof bars like those on Giovani. Did you put them on or were they standard on that model ??

They were there when I bought it, think they came with the car from new. I don't know if they are still available new, might be worth enquiring at your dealers.

Well, after my bit of fun this morning I did about another 150 miles in Charmania with work, that's a normal Wednesday for me, and the car treated it all like any other. The little Panda really is a good choice in these conditions. I'm sure I'm preaching to the converted here but it's always nice to have it confirmed again, and again.

Thanks for all the compliments, i'm quite chuffed with how they're turning out.
