General Pandas playing polar bears

Had a thoroughly good time in the panda yesterday, about the only other cars that were out around here were 4x4.
Ive found it quite astounding how good pandas are in snow, about the only thing that held us up was someone snowboarding behind a 4x4 !!
Keep up the pics of panda's in snow, theyre great !!:D

I'm pretty amazed about how well they cope. I have had a few slipping problems but dip the clutch let the wheels get grip and away it goes.

In these conditions the best combination of a car. Is, front wheel drive, low power engine, light.

Watching people try and drive in the snow and cant get it is funny :D

Great pics Vernon (y)

Being new to the 4x4 experience, I can comment on both as I drove the 2 wheel drive up the back roads without any problems, but have found that the 4x4 has much better traction and is safer as (being driven) the back wheels can't lock-up - this surely helps keep the car in a straighter line when slowing and also cornering. Mine has only got standard tread tyres, though I can imagine they'd be much better with some chunky tread!
The acid test was getting off the drive. All facing down and had to be reversed off:
Her Corsa at top - useless, wheels spinning - needed attention (er, cat litter was all I could lay my hands on...) eventually managed to get it off... just!
Next - 2wd Panda began spinning but did get off by rocking steering.
Last - 4x4 - just reversed straight off!
Okay, so I'm a convert... :D (y)

A couple of pics of my 750L, courtesy of my daughter who's borrowing it until Charmania is ready..........

Looks like they had more snow in Hereford than we did in Wiltshire.

Sadly no playing in the snow for Piglet this year as he's stuck on the drive with a duff starter motor, so I have to use the Defender, which is no hardship, but the Panda is better on ice [plus I have chains for it ]. Having said that I feel much more vulnerable to some other out of control prat in the Panda!

Hello panda people, just got my first panda a month ago, here she is in the snow, I love her already! she makes an alarming array of noises  and will be a bit of a basket case for a while, rebuilt and painted the calipers today already as one seized on me last week; but hopefully we'll get through it. expect some noise diagnostics requests in the technical section in the coming weeks.

Jobs i've covered already: Gear linkage bushings, painted 2 sets of wheels, fitting extras (bullbars, floodlights, roofrack, prayerflags) oh and a major spring clean :)

Hi, welcome to Panda ownership (y)

I doubt if you've got any noises that someone on here wouldn't have heard before, I'd be no good if they're 4x4 related though as I've never had one.(n)
