Time to alarm/central lock the car after all the recent problems. I know Jon has done this too some of his Panda's, but has anyone else.. and would the above (Ebay item number) be a good buy?
I've fitted similar set twice....It's quite easy...only problem is to fit that electric locks as there is very difficult access and no room inside Panda's door...
if you know what to do it takes one Saturday if not maybe also Sunday:)
Great fun with it:)

Will try and look at the listing tomorrow as Browsing from phone at the mo.

As mentioned by Jangcy, the central locking part of it is fiddly though!

Any chance of posting a report??????...(y)

Here goes:

Mechanically it seems fine but all I did was start it, I didn't bother actually driving it. It was used for the guy's daughter to learn to drive and hasn't done a lot of miles since the last MOT. Started on the button though and engine was quiet, I wasn't too concerned about the mechanics cos they're usually easily fixed. Some of the consumables will probably need doing - tyres were ropey but would get you home at least.

Car seems to be very genuine - all books and history, and total of 3 owners, all local and all know each other. Kept in a garage for most of its life and not used. However I think it's been kept outside for a while at some point. The bit that concerned me is the scuttle under the windscreen, it seems to have rusted most of the way across. Covered with paint/underseal now but I fear it would need welding in, and I'm not sure how structural it is. There's a small rust spot around the tailgate rubber too, and the passenger door has obviously been replaced and is really badly painted (lots of flakes where you can see the original red underneath). It's an honest car though I think, and an honest seller. I had a quick look underneath (it was raining) and all seemed fine. The guy said his MOT man checked the sills carefully and they were perfect, and I'd tend to believe him. Boot floor is spot on. Tailgate lock barrel is stuck but easy to swap that.

I'd have no hesitation if you don't mind respraying a door and maybe fixing up the scuttle, or could live with those. It needs a damn good clean too, inside and out, but I think it would polish up a treat. Drivers door is solid and paint is generally flat but unblemished.

Looks ok, but concerned that you've only one trigger door lock unit. (one with 4/5 wires, and one with 2) Means only got central locking from one door, and not both if using the key rather than the remote.

Other than that looks ok.

For alarms I now always use and swear by Hawk. Went to their distribution place, and they were A1!
