You have to grind partway through the windscreen top laminated sheet if glass
Then gently hit with a center punch to create a bulls eye, the crack will stop here
Then you drop some very thin UV resin in and press from the inside to spread the crack move along and compillary action will draw the resin in
It's good but not 100% at certain angles you can still see it
Knowing how deep to grind and how hard to hit takes experience, and you have one shot at it,
Being on the passenger side it should still pass an MOT
A decent windscreen repair should be able to do for a reasonable amount, others only do chips
You can cut them out yourself with a bit of piano wire and a couple of sticks for handles, I cut a glass sunroof out myself to swap to another car as nobody was willing to risk doing it for me
Having said that the proper tools aren't that expensive these days especially on aliexpress
You can save labour by doing some of it yourself and finding a second hand screen, but still probably cheaper to get a mobile fitter to fit rather than buying bond, primer, activator
