Theres no much depth for any decent speakers. Cheaper speakers may have smaller magnets so they may fit in. (cant say because i've never had cheap speakers :p)

Why not just get some dash pods?

I put 6x9's in Flash's door bins. I had to completely pack it out with sound deadening and make custom tops to screw down onto the bins to seal them.
It wasn't worth it- trust me.
Best to get some 110w 10cm speakers from motorworld and put them in the speaker pods. problem is - they point right at your ears - wel, the driver one does anyway so get some old House speakers, stow them under the driver and passenger seats and wire them up for your Bass response.............
Alternatively - see pandamonium maximus..........he's doen something spectacular I believe with his sound system!!!

Are you one of those lovely people that likes to share his music with everyone in a mile radius? ;)

When I got Speedy someone had already removed the standard speakers from the standard dash speaker pods and did a **** poor job of fitting some larger goodmans speakers. All they'd done was put the speaker into the hole for the speaker as far as possible and then put some sharp tip self tapping screws through the speakers mounting holes and forced the screws through the plastic of the speaker pod to hold it in place. To be honest though although the speakers are on the verge of falling out because vibration etc has ripped the thread from the holes, it doesn't look too bad and it doesn't sound too bad (ok it doesn't exactly sound good either but to be fair the stereo is so crap that I couldn't pay someone to steal it).

You could probably fit some better speakers to your Panda in a similar way (I say similar as I suspect you'll actually use some care and attention and do a proper job of it).

If you want you can have a look here https://www.fiatforum.com/panda-classic/89409-shopping-wish-list-speedy-2.html I've got some pictures of Speedy's interior so you can see the end result.

Jonathan!!Tony posted a little website for front speaker pods.
http://www.bluespot.co.uk/install/show_model.asp?id=369

Then what i did was put some focal three ways in my new fiat speaker pods, which to be honest are a bit different to the old ones!!they are made for fiat by an italian company out here in france!anyway, linked up to my alpine head unit and some nice pioneer speakers in the rear side panels!and i got to say the sound quality is bloody good:slayer: !!Mind you ive got leather seats in my valdisere which helps a bit with the sound rebound and acoustics!!:D

I fitted some infinity's into the dash pods. Sound much better than original and have better bass than what I was expecting. Only downside I had to remove the grill as the tweeter doesn't sit flush

Your not meant to, your in a Panda not Richer Sounds ;)

I actually like to hear the engine whilst I'm driving anyway unless I'm in traffic or on a long journey. Nothing like hearing a low capacity engine enjoying itself :)
(sorry I think that kind of started from my 2 stroke 125 days)

Well, ok but tbh they weren't too bad. Much better than the standard ones!

If you want bigger bass in the front then you can build some new speaker pods from MDF which will take 13cm speakers. Have a look for my thread which has some photos in it

Hi J

Yes, from memory they are (inside) the pocket but I only have ONE pocket on the driver's side.

I'll check when I get in the car later (it's 90 miles away at the moment)

Hi J

Sorry for not doing this earlier but I checked my speakers today. They are in the door 'cards' - you know where you pop out the trim.

Cheers for now
