hi,

2 possible causes

1. Put "suppresor" some people call it choke in series at the +ve supply of the radio. This cause by voltage interference produced by alternator while engine is running.

2. Check the quality of your spark plug high tension leads.

Another way is to wire the radio directly to the battery (via an in-line fuse) using heavy duty cable. This keeps the choke in series with the +ve lead but also uses the capacitance of the battery to smooth any spikes even further. Maplin Electronics stock such things as gold-plated battery terminals and connectors, oxygen-free power cables etc ... Overkill? Moi?

On a related note, it also helps to install sound-deadening foam in the door cavities and under the bonnet lid. At higher volumes this does help to stop the bodywork rattling <img src=icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

Best of luck,
Steve.

Or, it could, of course be a protest against the music you're playing <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_evil.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Okay, I'll shut up now. It's just my (nearly) 50 year old brain wincing at what passes for music these days ...

I'll get me coat.
Steve.

I am not a Panda person nor do I know anything about them, but radios I do know considering I have 8 of them in my truck...

First thing, Make absolutely sure you have a better ground than you think you need. If it is not a good enough ground or grounds near the same place as the motor electrics then you will get energy spikes back from the motor.

Second, Noise suppressor and don't ground it to the same as the motor.

Hope some of this helps you out...
