Undo the three bolts on the front plate, then slide them all the way back. They will come up against a tag, some knock this flat so that you can continue to slide the seat out the back of the runners, I prefer to lever around it.
prising the slider inwards? a bit at a time while moving backwards? easy done? will the seat go back just as easy? just asking as need to put back after removing carpet for now.

It's just the two ends of the adjuster bar that you need to lever, towards the centre of the seat while lifting the bar. Have a go, but if you're still stuck after two hours, flatten the tabs.

thanks for the info, bent the tabs in, slid out nicely, carpet and sound deadner out, metal plating tomorrow. found some holes in inner cills (oh dear!!)
