Panda Radio Problem

I have a Panda 4x4 on an 07 plate. The problem started last week. When I press the AM button on the factory fitted Blaupunkt radio it either works for a few seconds then fades out or I just hear crackling. It only affects MW & LW, FM radio & the CD player both work fine. Has anyone else out there heard of this problem, don't really want the expense of changing out the whole unit if there's an easy solution. Thanks

I have exactly the same problem on my 2010 Fiat Panda. AM/MW works fine for a few minutes and then automatically becomes distorted. Lots of hissing and the volume becomes very faint. Impossible to hear anything. Like you, the FM & CD player work perfectly without any issues.
